Whitewright Sun - Co-sponsored by WPL and the Whitewright Sun, this archive in the Portal to Texas History is part of the Texas Digital Newspaper Program and funded by The Tocker Foundation. This is a work in progress. 

We also have most issues of The Sun on microfilm from mid-1911 to 2006, and digital copies from 2007 to 2012 for in-library use if the issue you need is not in the archive.

You may also contact the library with requests for info. Please be aware we are a small library and we are unable to research for detailed information -- be as specific as possible in your request. Requesters must pay for copy and postage costs (we recommend sending a SASE), or you can request a .pdf scan emailed to you. Donations for this service are appreciated!

Northeast Texas Digital Collection - Whitewright Public Library and Whitewright Historical Museum

Friday Literary Club Tour of Homes - Based on a tour of homes in 1969, this slide presentation collects images of 40+ buildings in Whitewright, including some that no longer exist. This project is not complete; we are working on getting current pictures added to compare with the historical photos.

NOTE: The City of Whitewright is primarily in Grayson County, but a portion is in Fannin County. Both major cemeteries for the City are located in Fannin County.
